Operation Christmas : Completed

We had such a great Christmas surrounded by friends and family.  We started on Wednesday before Christmas exchanging with Aunt Singne, The Wilde's, and then Wogan's.  It was very busy but allowed us to relax more on actual Christmas morning.  We all got spoiled by each other and are so appreciative of everyone who bought us gifts this year.  The girls are still playing with all their new toys and mom is still trying to figure out where to put it all.  Here are some of our fun exchanges.  We hung out with Aunt Singne first.  She brought over a gingerbread princess castle for her and the girls to decorate and then exchanged presents.   Thanks Aunt Singne!

Aunt Singne got these fairy grand entrance hangers for their bedroom doors.  They are very cool and very pretty.  The girls love them!!

Then is was over to the Trevor's sister house to do more exchanging.  This year grandma and grandpa got the girls a lemonade stand.  What a great gift.  They pretend to sell lemonade, ice cream and whatever else they can fit in their stand.  It is a great way to see them use their imaginiations! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Then we ended our evening at the Gigi and Papa Wogan's. We ate tamale's and played the White Elephant game.  I have to say Trevor and I did well this year.  Ones junk is anothers treasure :)

Christmas Eve was a great day as well.  We hung out most of the day, went to church and then went of to the Wogan's again for their Christmas Eve party.  I didn't take any pictures but I found these in which Peyton had taken some.  So here are a few of the evening:

Then finally Christmas morning came.  We got the girls a swing set this year and had it set up on Tuesday so we had to hide this big thing for 3 days.  We Did It!  The girls were so excited and I will try and post the video of their reaction.  We love being Santa!  We also had family over for brunch which is always a treat.  It was great to be in our pajamas the entire day and enjoy all our new things.
The girls
faster...faster...
zhu zhu pets...yay!  These things are fun but they are everywhere.  I am constantly trying not to step on them or lose them.  They have a mind of their own...
Every year Trevor goes out and finds a gift for the girls just from him. This year he found these bath robes... they are so soft.
And then is was finally warm enough for the girls to go outside and play on the swing set!!!  This is where they stayed until the sun went down.

The Polar Express

We took the kids to The Polar Express this weekend. This is our second year and it was even better the second time.  We went our friends the Petersons and the Vaughns and the kids had a great time experiencing this together.  We started with dinner at Oregano's and then raced over to Williams to catch the train.  The girls are at such a great age and Trevor and I were able to sit back and watch them enjoy everything.  We can't wait until next year!

Santa Baby!

Today I took the girls to a Teddy Bear Tea at the Ritz with some friends.  So fun and so cute. They had hot cocoa for the kids and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  Then Mrs. Claus came out and told a story followed by a "Monkey Christmas" puppet show.  The kids loved every minute of it.  Then we got to meet Santa himself!  The Ritz was decorated so wonderfully with lights, teddy bears, Christmas trees, Nutcrackers and fake snow.  It was definitely a great way to spend the afternoon with the girls and a new tradition for our family.

I had to post this just because of Presley's face.  She can do this face at any time and usually when we are trying to take pictures.  I LOVE IT!
Yay! for mommies

Wedding Bells in 2010!

My sister Lindsay and Kevin got engaged over the weekend!  We are so excited! and starting to plan for a wedding!!  Kevin has already been a part of our family for the past 3 1/2 years but we are so glad to make it official.  Congrats you guys!  What a fun year ahead for the two of you! Thanks for coming over and sharing the news and celebrating with us.

Holiday Festivities

Last Friday night we met some friends up at Desert Ridge for some dinner, snow and a movie.   We ate at California Pizza Kitchen, met in the middle for some snow (or Peyton would call it bubble snow) and then over to the theatre to see Princess and the Frog.  The movie was very cute and everyone made it through then entire thing :)

Then the girls went over to GiGi's to make a Gingerbread house.  The frosting wasn't cooperating so we decorated all the sides of the house but didn't piece them together.  It was fun either way.

We also finished putting up our Christmas decorations....finally!

And Peyton wrapped up her week at school with a holiday performance.  She did AWESOME!  She took the performance very seriously, singing all of the songs, and making sure everyone around her did too!  Great Job Peyton!  We love you

We also had a mini Christmas party in her room where we are pizza and decorated cookies.  Just what this kid needs...more sugar.
