Practice Round

This Saturday Trevor's day dressed up as Santa for a Christmas party. We used this as a test to see how the girls would react to the "real" Santa. Presley did great, she was more interested in the jingle bells Santa was holding then who was holding her. It took Peyton awhile to warm up. She likes to watch Santa, but doesn't want to sit with him. I finally went and sat with her. As soon as Santa offered her a candy cane, she then asked him to bring her a kitchen. We will let you know how it goes when we go see santa at the mall:)

On the way home she did say, "mom and dad, that Santa is nice guy" We are hoping she will remember that in a few days when we see him again.

Zoo Lights

Last night we ventured out to Zoo Lights. The kids loved it and the weather was great! Peyton's favorite part is the talking giraffe. She thought it was so cool that the giraffe knew her name:) We have done zoo lights the last 3 years and have made it a tradition in our home. We definitely reccommend taking the family.

The Perfect Tree

Today we picked out our Christmas tree! Here are some pictures of us on the hunt, finding the perfect one, and then it decorated. And this is Peyton's tree and nobody's elses.....just like everything else in the house:) We are getting excited, only a few weeks to go.

Alittle blurry but you get the point:):):)

One Long Day!!!

Well we had a very long day. It started with Peyton going to the dentist, then heading next door to the doctor (Peyton's 2 year check up and Presley's 4 month), then off to the Ronald McDonald House to feed the families. We are exhausted as we head into Thanksgiving.......oh this is such a busy time of year.
Peyton was a little sketchy of the dentist but overall did pretty well. I finally got her to cooperate and sit in the chair and then daddy walks in and she looses it. Luckily, her teeth look great and we didn't need to get them cleaned.

The doctors appointment was hectic. The good news was that both girls are in perfect health and are growing strong. The bad news is that shots hurt. Peyton went first and was very brave. Presley had to get 4 shots so hers hurt a little longer:( Presley is weighing in at 14 pounds 11 ounces (what a meatball!!) and is in the 95% for height.

I can't believe how big she is getting!

After the appointments we headed downtown to the Ronald McDonald House to feed the families. We made chili. Peyton was a huge help and made some friends too. Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Kevin had fun stirring the chili as well. We finally made it home around 8:00 just in time for the Bachelor and Peyton's second wind!!! I don't know where kids get their energy but Trevor and I were so tired.

This is just a picture of Presley. I thought I would post it since it was on my camera.

Trick or Treat

Well Halloween 2007 was a huge success and we are finally starting to come down from our sugar high!!! We had a busy afternoon and night making sure all the grandparents and close friends got to celebrate and see the girls in costume. Peyton was a blast to trick or treat with. She thanked every house and was so grateful for all the candy they gave her. This made trick or treating a long process, but I am proud that my two year old is using her manners:) Presley, was very mellow and I think she thought the whole process was a little overrated.....until next year when she is able to move around. All in all we had a nice safe Halloween and look forward to do it again next year.

I have know idea how to rotate this picture.

Ooooh Pumpking Seeds!

Over the weekend Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Kevin carved pumpkins with the girls. At first Peyton was a little nervous about getting dirty but it didn't take her long to get the hang of it. She made a very scary jack-o-lantern that we have outside on our front porch. Every time we walk by it we check to see if the candle is still in there. We are glad she got to participate in the festivities with them because mommy and daddy are slacking and wouldn't have gotten it done:)
Get it Girl!!

Go Sundevils!!! Here is Uncle Kevin with the girls watching football. Peyton is cheering on her team (in this case the ASU Sundevils). Presley didn't really care either way:) Thanks you Lindsay and Kevin for spending time with the girls. They had a great time and were exhausted the next day.

It's My Party....

And I Can Cry if I Want To!! I just had to share this wonderful picture of Peyton. After a long day, Peyton was so tired. We captured this moment of our happy 2 year old right before putting her to bed at 7:00!

Peyton Turns 2!!

Well, two years ago today we were blessed with our little Peyton. It has been so fun watching her grow into a little girl. She has forever changed our lives and we thank God for her every day. It is so amazing to watch her develop, challenge herself and embark in new adventures. Thank you to all those who helped us celebrate and let Peyton know how loved she truly is. We had a busy weekend celebrating this little girl, from friends at Peter Piper, family at the house, to getting her nails painted with mom and a special lunch with mom and dad. We are exhausted!!! Here are some pics from our busy weekend. Enjoy.

Can you believe someone called her while we were in the middle of singing Happy Birthday!!!

Her pretty toes. She was very still as they painted her toes and her fingernail.

We've Moved!!!

Well we are officially in our new house and our internet is FINALLY working. Things have been alittle hectic for us but we are finally getting settled and getting things up and running. We love our new home and everyone is adjusting well. Peyton runs circles around the house and loves showing visitors her new room. I will take some pics of the house this weekend and get them up.

A quick update on the girls. Peyton is almost 2 years old. I can't believe how fast it goes. She is talking like crazy and it has been so fun to watch her grow. She is imitating everything I do, so I am getting a glimpse of what I look like in her eyes. She is so busy and loves coloring, dancing and singing. We have mastered the ABC's! She still takes very good care of her baby sister and is very protective of her. She isn't afraid to let you know that Presley is hers. Oh too cute.

Presley is smiling and laughing all the time. She truly lights up the room with her smile. She is filling out and getting some serious chunck on her. She is also sleeping like a champ and finally starting to get on a routine. She is trying so hard to roll over and in the next few weeks will have a new trick to show everyone:) All in all we are all doing well.

Now that we have internet, I will be better at posting:)

2 month check up

Presley had her 2 month check yesterday. She is growing just like she is supposed to. She is starting to chunk up (which I love). The doctor said she had great neck control for her age:) Here are the comparisons between the two girls.

Peyton:
Weight: 10 pounds 15 ounces
Length: 23 1/4 inches
Head: 38 1/2 cm

Presley:
Weight: 11 pounds 3 ounces
Length: 23 inches
Head: 38 1/2 cm

They are so close! Presley weighs a little more than Peyton did. It is so fun to compare:)

A Weekend With the D's

We had a great weekend catching and playing hard with our friends Brendan and Jamie and their two kids, Tommy and Gabby. They came in town from Las Vegas. Peyton had so much fun spending time with them. We swam, played in the fountains, ate ice cream, rode on the
rhino, and got to pet a minature horse! We realized how much we miss having them here!

Tommy and Gabby resting at the fountains. Peyton is trying to get them up and going again:)

This is a shot of Peyton's bathing suit bottoms falling down. We couldn't keep them up!

This is Brendan's parents minature horse. This was Peyton's first encounter with a horse her size. She was nervous at first but Tommy showed her there was nothing to be afraid of.

Nice Horsey

This is my favorite picture of the kids. Everyone smiling and happy:)

Amelia Island

Well, were back! We had a great time in Florida and Peyton wore herself out! The resort catered to families and their kids so Peyton took full advantage. We hung out at the pool and beach one day and then toured the historic district another. Trevor's company paid for a nanny service one night so Peyton got to hang out with all the other 2 and 3 year olds all night long. I have to admit we were alittle nervous to leave her but when we checked up on her half way through dinner and realized she didn't miss us at all, we felt better. Here are a few pictures from our trip. I will try and get some other ones up later on. The first on is Peyton at the pool enjoying her kiddie cocktail. So cute! Daddy and his two girls.
All dressed up. Mommy and Presley before heading to the awards dinner! Presley was a hit and everyone wanted to hold her.
The whole family posing on the docks in downtown Amelia Isand!
Shark!!! Peyton wasn't to sure about this fake shark. She wouldn't even let Trevor put his hands near it. We all got a good laugh at her facial expressions.
So now we are back to the dry heat and trying to get back onto a routine. The weather was so wonderful in Florida. It wasn't very humid and there was a constant breeze which kept it nice and cool.
